Christmas Lunch Binding Party
Christmas Party with a difference this year. The difference is, we all bring the lunch, and the presents are mostly not about you!
This is about giving to others. During November I am running a donation program for The Very Snuggly Quilt Program. This is the second time we have done this, and the program has received great support. So I have continued the theme and make our Christmas gathering about The Snuggly peeps as well.
Josephine Kelly (of the Very Snugglies) will be joining us on the 16th, with a load of small quilts that need binding. A good few of hours of binding, talking and snacking.
Sick children at any time of the year is stressful and frankly crap. At Christmas I imagine all the feelings and stresses are amplified.
The $15, get-in-the-door ticket, gifts you a pattern pack (which is actually for you) and a 1 metre donation of fabric to the Snugglies. Choose whichever fabric you would like to donate on the day and I'll cut it and bag it for you, and it will be on it's way to the fabulous team who make up the quilts. You are also welcome to bring along orphan quilt blocks, and we shall bag those up and include them. (I have a good little stack to get us started).
As a thankyou for your donation, anything you purchase on the day will attract a 30% discount, so you can feel good about your last minute crafty shopping. That's none too shabby.
Please bring a plate of food to share.
Saturday 16th Dec. 11:30 - 2:30pm.
I look forward to a final gathering before the summer hiatus.
